Twitter had been flooded with speculation that the New Orleans singer had been placed in an induced coma and was near death.

But the artist’s Twitter account put out this tweet in response: “I’m good everybody. Thnx for the prayers and love.”

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center declined to confirm or deny that Lil Wayne was being treated there.

One press report claimed that Grammy winner Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, had been found unconscious. Another report by TMZ said that he had been placed in a medically induced coma, which the rapper’s publicist denied.

Yet another report claimed that Lil Wayne had suffered previous seizures.
