I wrote about my first night at my first brain rehab. It was like the first night at the reception station in basic training, scary and emotionally taxing. They parked outside my door and sat in a chair staring at me, the girl that watched me chatted on her cellphone. Finally I got up, walked up to her and just stared at her till she left. Those places are not necessarily the best places to try and recover from brain injuries. They treat you like you did something wrong, so I understand why he didn’t want to be there, totally understand. Food is crappy too.
