Singer Usher’s stepson, who was declared brain-dead after a Jet Ski accident, died Saturday after he was taken off life support, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Kile Glover, 11, had been in the hospital since the July 6 mishap. He and a friend were floating in an inner tube on Lake Lanier near Atlanta when a member of their group on a Jet Ski ran over them, according to the Times. Glover, the son of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster Raymond, sustained traumatic brain injury.
The Times reported that Kile was “unresponsive” when he was taken out of the lake, and he was later declared brain dead.
Kile’s natural father is Ryan Glover, a TV executive in Atlanta. But Usher had reared the boy from when he was 4 years old.
