Brain injury happens in an instant but the recovery must be for a lifetime. Betty is a great example of the long-term need to continue to grow, to continue to work hard to get better and how even through failures, the brain continues to grow. She is also an example of how our system 25 years ago in which TBI survivors had more access to resources, was worth the investment of health care resources.
