Betty’s recovery was also benefitted by years of dating and ultimately marrying after her TBI. As she was in her early twenties when hurt, those parts of life were ahead of her at the time of her injury. While she said she dated “knuckheads” for years, twenty years after her injury, she met her husband. While the relationship didn’t start out perfect, she kept at it and it has succeeded.
