Helmet-to-helmet collisions don’t just cause traumatic brain injury in football.

Tulane University safety Devon Walker suffered a fractured spine Saturday during a game against Tulsa. Walker and his teammate Julius Warmsley had an accidental head-to-head hit during one of the game’s plays, according to the New York Daily News.

Walker reportedly wasn’t knocked out, and he was taken off the field on a stretcher and went to the hospital by ambulance.

The dangers of football are many.
