Part Eight Deals with Vocational Issues http://tbivoices.com/blog/uncategorized/return-to-work-from-tbi-without-treatment-or-rehabilitation/

As the severity of Angela’s brain injury was poorly understood in the first month after her injury, Angela returned to work, before, not after she got rehabilitation.  While sometimes that can work, as it did with out story of Gina, it requires an extreme level of accommodation at the beginning.  Angela didn’t appreciate what her deficits would be, and her employer even less prepared for those challenges.  Thus, rather than assisting her rehab, that too early return made her problems far worse, adding a layer of stress and decompensation, that made her entire recovery more difficult.

Next in Part Nine  Angela  discussing how she found  the right doctor
