Wisconsin Brain Injuries

Wisconsin brain injuries survivors have long had the benefit of a rich tradition of active support groups, many of which I have personally spoken to. Support Groups can be the critical bridge between to the community for both survivors and their loved ones.   Even though the Wisconsin Brain injuries organization, formerly Brain Injury Association of Wisconsin, is undergoing change, the support groups continue to be viable.

Our TBI Voices project began with my outreach to Wisconsin brain injuries support groups and it is these support groups that provided the volunteers that make up the core of our brain injury stories. .
